Do you love, love, love multi-use products as much as I do?! Then you need to get some Himalayan salt (or “pink salt” ASAP.

The uses for pink salt range from culinary, to cosmetic, to therapeutic. I absolutely love cooking with it instead of regular table salt. And it also makes for a great body scrub when mixed with some skin-healthy oil.

1. Relieve sore muscles and inflammation – the magnesium content in pink salt can soothe your muscles.

2. Detoxification – like other types of salt baths, a himalayan salt bath can also draw toxins from the skin thanks to reverse osmosis.

Because of the detoxifying qualities of this salt bath, it’s safe to start at one cup in a bath at a time, and then work your way up to two cups. Soak for 10-15 minutes.

Also, it’s important to make sure you stay hydrated! I drink a cup of water before the bath, have some on hand while I’m in it, and then drink more after.
