Meet new Volvo XC60 2018
The first generation of Volvo XC60, which had been on the conveyor for 9 years, finally gave way to the second generation model. In Geneva 2017, the premiere of the brand new Volvo XC60 2018 took place. As expected, the new Volvo XC60 2018 was made in line with the style of the flagship SUV’s XC90. But, unlike the latter, the “sixtieth” has a more harmonious look at the expense of compact size and athletic “hood”.
Compared to the previous model, Volvo’s new crossover is slightly larger. The length of the crossover is almost 4.7 m, the width is -1.9 m, and the height is 1.65 m.
For the new generation of Volvo XC60, petrol motors for 254 and 320 units, 190 and 235 hp diesel units will be available, as well as a 407-strong hybrid unit. All engines work together with an 8-speed “automatic” and a full drive. Later, front-wheel drive variants with manual transmission should appear.
The company emphasizes that the new Volvo XC60 2018 is one of the safest cars in the world. There are lot of electronic assistants, among which, for example, the function Pilot Assist – a semi-autonomous driving system, which can independently manage the wheel, acceleration and braking at speeds up to 80 mph.
Among other things, the new generation of Volvo XC60 comes equipped with multimedia Sensis, 4-zone climate control, 360˚ Surround View Camera, BLIS and Premium Sound by Bowers & Wilkins audio system.
